Another Hitch-hiker!!!
Our second car died last week and stayed in the parkng lot where Tom works. Tom and a buddy went to tow the car home today to be fix and this little guy......no wait! Big guy . 4+ inches long man!! Now I'm used to taking pictures of stick bugs that don't move and just hang out while I take my fill of photos. But this guy turned its head and looked right at me!!!!! It freaked me out a bit. I was afraid to get too close just in case, like a bat, it would get caught up in my hair or something!!!!!

Awsome photo~ its as if he really is looking right at you!
Neat pic of the Praying Mantis. I always tell kids he is praying that you won't touch him. ;o)
I had one on DH truck, but forgot to take a pic, 'til I saw yours.:^p
duh!
Oh Lynne! Great pictures! We get tickled when the look right at us... but it feels a little odd too. Most times I think bugs just ignore us, yet the mantids seems to study us back as we study them.
What camera are you using. I can't get that close up on anything to save my life. Aggravating! But at least I can come here and drool over yours. :)
Oh Judi. how sweet you are. The camera that I use is a Nikon coolpix 3200. My husband's E-bay business forced our hand to get a digital camera so after an exstenive search we ended up with this very nice little camera. I do lust for a digital SLR someday. I understand the 'need' to get those macro type shots. I have to thank this Mantis for hanging in there while I assulted him with as many as thirty photos just to find out that I had the wrong settings and had to go back out and shoot him again.
Your the only one I know so far who has an iMac among my garden loving friends. I love your new website. It is very impressive. I look forward to using iLife to get my jewelry website up and running this year. thanks for stopping. ~peace
Were you referring to me, about the imac? And the new website? Oh drat it... I'm certain you have me confused for someone else.
As far as camera goes... I guess I need to get mine out and play with it more... quit relying on point and shoot and actually take time to figure out the other options. :)
sorry judi.
I guess I didn't have my facts straight before I wrote.
Point and shoot!!!!!.
