Under the sun!
I will touch a hundred flowers
And not pick one."

The past few days:

* still pitching wood chips and enjoying the smell of the oriental lilies wafting through the yard.
* going to the lake in the evenings with the girls and watching the sunset.
* found a pair of sun glass in the lake & they look good on me!!
* celebrated my little girls' twelfth birthday.
* Now I'm waiting for the next cool day so I can get back out into the yard.

There is nothing like a pile of Swarovski Crystals!!

This is my work space in the basement. It keep growing as I add newer areas of interest in jewelry making.

Today will be the first all-day rain we've had this summer. I have been looking forward to this day. Mainly because I don't have to water AGAIN! Secondly, I can get started on some inventory for the Art Beat and not feel guilty about not being outside.

My husband went back to work last night after three weeks. I will miss him but not his snoring. Breath rights do work well!!

Today in the yarden:
I have a pair of Cardinals& Gold finches and a wet dog.

Off to the dungeon with me!

What is it again???? HMMMM?

**Sweet hosta**

***Bear's Breeches (Acanthus mollis)***

I've divided this plant several times. even though it might
looks mad at you for moving it. it will perform beautifully. My favorite plant this year.

My newest hosta. I gotta get the names going!

***Lily***

***Pincushion Flower (Scabiosa columbaria***

***Cimicifuga racemosa Black Cohosh, Black Snakeroot, Fairy Candles***

You pick a name. I have a good friend down in North Carolina who sent me a box of roots after a visit. That was six years ago. This makes such a wonderful statement in the shade garden. Right next to the joe pye!

**lily***

I have a secret daylily place in mIchigan. (i really don't) but it feels like it. I purchased several varieties of daylilies last year and I can't wait to see how they perform. the longer flower pedal was a big attraction for me!

***Big Blue***

I love the grey/blue textured hostas. The big hostas in the garden are my husbands contribution to the shade. His babies.

Round two for the Mourning Window Cranesbill

**Catawabanese**

Nice contrast among the greens.
I purchased this at the famers market a few years back. It is suppose to have some kind of flower but I never seem to get any. Lost the name of it also, but it is striking just the same.

I love a rainy day

I had to share this sign with you. I have seen this sign all my life as I traveled to Indianapolis and back home. Fun sign.
Not a good place to take a bathroom break.

We are back from the abyss they call southern Indiana where EVERYTHING closes by 3:00 pm. I'm talkin way south by the Kentucky border. We rented a cabin in a huge fishing community, where nothing there is for children except a deck of cards, a ball and 2.5 channels on television. Not that T.V. is important. It isn't. No phone either which I really enjoyed that. We did manage horseback riding, caving and an awesome waterpark.
The rolling hills and valleys were beautiful!!! No photos. Why I don't take more photos on vacation is beyond me. We definitely had our fill of road-kill and turkey vultures.
Hiking wasn't an option this time due to the ankle injury. That wasn't something the girls looked forward to anyway knowing the waterpark was on the list. It was good that I could participate as much as I did especially at the waterpark.

It is raining today which give me permission to lay around, read and finish up the laundry and not feel pushed to get out into the yard and accomplish something.....

This is our last week of vacation. We hope to get the cedar siding started on the treehouse.
